Welcome to the first blog...hello!

Jenna Lee Artist Management has officially been up and running for a couple of months now and so far it has been amazing. The first band I started working with is the incredible Lavotchkin hailing from Newcastle and they are one of the reasons 'Jenna Lee Artist Management' started in the first place. Working with these lads has been nothing but amazing and I am extremely proud to be working with such a talented and lovely group of guys.

I've got to admit there was no immediate plan to expand and work with any other bands however when I went to a local show and got talking to the Take A Worm For A Walk Week lads, and it turned out they were looking for manager things changed a bit. I have known the Take A Worm guys for a little while and have previously worked with them releasing a split EP on Small Town Records. They are a great bunch of men and an incredible band, so after some thoughts, some discussions and some more thoughts we decided to start a beautiful working relationship together...........and so Jenna Lee Artist Management was born.

I would say that we have been officially going and with both bands on board since the very start of this year and what a year we are hoping it will be, for both bands and myself.

Right that is enough of rambling on about that. I think it's time to tell you a bit about what the bands have going on in the forthcoming months.

Lets start with the Lavotchkin boys. We have lots planned for 2009 but not all can be revealed just yet, we will tell you about the next few months though to keep you forfilled.

Well they hit the studio in a few days to record some new material for you fine people, they are doing 3 days to record tracks for something very special later in the year...keep your ears to the ground, it's gonna be awesome!

January will see them on tour with our very own Take A Worm For A Walk Week. This tour is very specail for me as it's both my bands on the road together, I'm gonna be heading out with them as well to join in with the good times, you should too. Dates for the tour are....

30 Jan @ The Royal Park - Leeds
31 Jan @ The Orange Box - Yeovil
1 Feb @ Cafe Saki - Manchester
2 Feb @ The Chapel - Huddersfield

If you can make it down to any of these shows then come say hello and hang out! Lavotchkin are gonna be playing some new and never heard before material and they also have some new merch for you to feast your eyes on. Both bands are astonishing live so come down, have a dance, a beer and a jolly good time...see you there!

After the January tour Lavotchkin are heading out to Europe for 9 days. They'll be hitting up Belgium, Germany and Austria....all dates are up on their myspace page which you can check out at www.myspace.com/lavotchkin

Then they will be touring with two other amazing bands in March and April.

March will be a full week with the phenomonal HUMANFLY!! Dates will be up soon so keep an eye out. If you havent heard of Humanfly before then check them out....they truly are brilliant! www.myspace.com/humanfly

April will be a few days with another sweet band....Outcry Collective, who look set to do great things this year. They recently signed to Visible Noise and when I went to see them in London they pulled out all the stops...a great live band. So thats gonna be in early April, again full details will be up soon so keep checking back. You can chck out Outcry Collective at www.myspace.com/outcrycollective

The following months will see even more fun, even more frolics and even more news. I'll keep you waiting for now though.

Now to move onto the Take A Worm For A Walk Week lads. Obviously they are doing the tour in January but after then they are going to be taking a break from touring. They are going to be concentrating on their new album and making it the best it can possibly be. They are going to be heading out to Boston to record with the amazing Kurt Balou of Converge fame....this is exciting times for both me and the band and we are really looking forward to the album and seeing how it all forms and comes together.

So I feel like I should leave it there, I have rambled on a fair bit even though I'm sure I will have missed something.

Thanks for reading and keep an eye on what we're up to....good things are'a coming!!
